Transfers and Varnish

Don`t apply spray varnish to undried transfers unless you like a blister effect :oops: That`ll teach me to rush.

I've found that (Waterslide) transfers should ideally be put on on top of a layer of (dried!) gloss varnish, then varnished again, then matt varnished.

This pretty much removes any sheen from around the transfer.

Of course, this might test the patience of some....

Agreed, I normally apply VVV waterslides after a coat of Shade varnish and prior to my final coat of Matt. I just forgot that I had only applied the transfers that morning having left my wife doing the flock while I went out to work. This morning after all is dry I still have blisters in 3 transfers most seemed to settle out.
