scots continental

As a sometime LB player I have been following some of the recent discussions with interest. As a result of one of them I looked at the Scots (continental) list.

It seemed strange to me that this army can have all of its (undrilled) LB in BG's of 4 (up to 64 el or potentially 16bg!).

This is not allowed to any other army that has large numbers of LB (even where they are drilled).

I'm not sure this would be a terribly good option but it seems to be an anomoly compared to the normal BG sizes. Is there a rationale for it?

Sorry if this has already been covered

It is a mistake that was only recently pointed out to us. It will be corrected in the next version of the errata sheet.

Literally hundreds of hours of painting and a couple hundred dollars of figures just got shelved.
Good job Marty - since you can magically Nerf (tm) my recently painted Scots into BGs of 6, how about you get the Dominate Roman legions morphed from BGs of 6 to BGs of 4, and could you guys stop mucking around with the armies and make a commitment to sticking to something.
This decision is just plain rude.

I am really not convinced that BGs of 4 undrilled longbow are even remotely approaching super troop status. What makes the big Dominate army effective is not the mass of small BGs, it is the mass of small drilled BGs that can hold their own with most things in melee.

Not to mention that you will nearly always take a -1 on a cohesion test. And if you lose a stand you are functiontionally shot as the next cohesion test is getting lots of -1s.

Plus the Scots can still make a nice army, and it readily morphs into other tasty lists like WotR and 100YW :D
