Slitherine

If I highlight my capital, then right click, it shows, in one line: yields about 5.5 food and 0.4 wood (or some such numbers). (When the city hit pop 3 it was showing a food yield of 9.3.)

What is this yield?

Is this what the city hex itself is producing? But then that doesn't seem to show in the food resource.

The tooltip over city shows overall production/consumption. Tooltip over other tiles (when a city is selected) shows the yield of that tile.
