Ok so how I am on youtube. YAY!!!!
So I am trying a blind playthrough of this campaign that I have not seen or thought about since I beta tested, like 2 years ago.
So I am trying my hand at broadcasting some of my strategy with how and why I play the game the way I do.
I started the campaign incorrectly, as I forgot to press custom difficulty button on my first couple of scenarios, so I replayed those and have proceeded onto Casablanca.
So here is a link yo my 2nd playthrough of Mission 1 Formation
I started at 720 definition, but am now trying at 1080.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udIKRCRMeYI&t=579s
It is not letting me post it here like it does other players so I am just posting the link.

Here is my 2nd try at the right level, which is Field Marshall/Montgomery (Rommel)
I am playing 50% Experience and 50% Prestige...and now after these first 2 missions is blind.
Mission #2 Achnacarry
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wymYrlhFIrY&t=62s
I tried recording an hour video with too high a bit rate and at 1080 definition.
This game out herky jerky and took way to long to load, so I am not restarting and just recording shorter videos in order to make this digestible.
Share your comments and thoughts on these because I am listening and trying to improve based on feedback.
Blessings!~

Just watched your two Casablanca videos, so there were some nice gifts, too!
Do you actually use a hidden/captured unit (cheat) list? My guess is no... but I was just wondering!
Also a nice start at Djebel Abiod and thanks a lot for explaining the map in the beginning!

Yeah, I am not using a list of any kind
You are seeing my live read of the map, blind, so for example with Djebel Abiod, My thinking on the map changed drastically as the mission objectives changed. This is something I was not anticipating and as such I should have been going over better over the strategic map what my plans are after each mission objective change.
I think it will be helpful to illustrate how my strategic mind tackles what is in front of me, but needs to adapt as the situation changes on the field.
I am loving this aspect of the game and it reminds me of some of the Afrika Corps and GC West Missions.
Loving this blindthrough

I see... mission objectives changed (during the scenario?)... now I am even more curious to watch the next parts then!

I misspoke, I meant the 5th Mission Tebourba, the mission objective's change on that throughout the mission, and it catches me off guard a little as my approach at the beginning changes drastically based on the change in orders
Exciting stuff...but those posts are coming

There are a few more like that, makes for a thrilling blind run
Also watch out on the "Hills" scenario, if you deploy more than three aircraft you get a loss. Figured that's not a spoiler!
e: More than three aircraft, not two

Ok I have this recording thing down now, and hope to continue to get better.
This was a fun one to showcase many tricks to fool the enemy, but also experiencing pain in my lack of a decent airforce.
1st Part: Go over my starting strategy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjCYnJgCgtQ&t=542s
2nd Part: Execution of that strategy with minor tweaks.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2ulDh_lRmg&t=4s
Finishing up for...watch to find out...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdfEc1hbNGY
This is so much fun, uploading mission #5...but still hoping for some direction on where to go next...Spring Wind or Morning Air?
Mission #5 Tebourba 3 parts Blind please vote

This was the most exciting mission yet...as you start thinking one thing, but quickly have your strategy change as the mission objectives change:
Super fun one:
1st Part, watch my starting strategy shift as the forces I am facing on the ground concern me with the initial mission objectives:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDr9mKSaamI
2nd Part watch mission objectives change and force me to reconsider my starategy:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRXHisHWDIs
3rd Part: How much will I be able to take over before this is all over? Watch and see...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhqRP-G9qPA
Now a choice needs to be made Morning Air or Spring Wind?

Regarding Operation Morning Air: the replay is OK/not bad but the live play is better I think...

I have a spreadsheet of the scenario casualties. as i made for the GC. I can post it if you like.
The P38 was a mistake, no upgrade path; unless you use Nico's equipment file. [hint]
For someone who loves artillery you don't have much of it so far.
Note: Spring Wing, Morning Air , Sbiba Pass, and Kasserine are all part of the Kasserine Battle. Kasserine is the toughest.

Any spread sheet, unless it is over the current scenarios I have played, would be a major spoiler.
For instance, I knew I would face Tigers in Kasserine, but it was quite the shock when I saw I was facing 2.
That battle was super tough, and as such very enjoyable, I have 1 more recording to finish up the last couple of days and give my final analysis, but let's just say that battle tested me in every way. Love that.
P-38 was a purposeful purchase as I would love to just buy P-47's, but I have really taken something from Night Phoenix's, Deducter's, Lt. Joker's, and Braccada's more diverse force composition.
Especially the latter's attempt to field a more historical/realistic unit composition. As such, I am trying to mimic them to some degree by not fielding the best units always, but use no more than 1 unit of the same type.
For example: I was finally awarded an SE Fighter before Kasserine, P-47B, but I already have a P-47B, so I upgraded the SE Fighter to a D.
I would love to have another Wolverine, but am instead waiting for the Jackson to come out.
I am not sure I will be able to continue this, but I am trying.
I would love to deploy more artillery, but with 13 slots, or less, per scenario make the selection of units very difficult.
My next artillery will be the 155mm M12 GMC. 10 ammo, 3 range, self propelled artillery. What is not to love?

I thought that might be the case, so I asked.
You seem to be well into Kasserine, Which I think would make a great MultiPlayer.
Axis DV would require an empty map.

Question about next 3 units I should buy?

HELP PLEASE!!!
I have just finished El Guetarr and am posed to start Hills scenario...
I have taken a quick look on the parameters of the map and the directions.
I can only deploy 3 Planes...so that will be my 2 SE Fighter's and my Strat Bomber. (That is a given)
But this means 3 planes will be left behind.
So I need 3 units to replace them.
Here is what I am considering:
Infantry: 1 Engineer's with truck (Based on the briefing I will be facing mines and think an Extra Engineer might help.) Thoughts?
Tank: I would love to have more tanks, but they are so crappy with the US, but seems would be more historic to have an M3 Lee. Thoughts?
Artillery: 105mm Towed arty. I would love to get another 155mm GMC, but that seems very unhistoric...so I was thinking upgrading my 3 starred 105mm arty to Long Tom and starting to build up a 105mm arty. Thoughts?
Anti Tank: Ok 2 ways to go on this one: I need another M3 75 GMC, but do I upgrade my 2 starred M3 to a Wolverine and buy 2 more M3's or just buy 1 M3 and keep the other M3 as an M3 and buy 2 of the other options I detailed above?
So those are what I see as the options.
I will work on recording Grand Campaign 45 West Brussels on Guderian Blind...
Please weigh in so I can get back to US Corps.
Thanks

equip file points to know.
1) USSPATY has the M8, M7, and M12 in series.
2) USSPAT has the M10, M18, M36 in series.
3) USaty has the 75, 105, 155, 8 inch in series
US doctrine was AT fights tanks, tanks fight infantry. You need more SPATs than tanks.
At this point I had 4 M10's, you need more AT. Up grading M3's to M10's and buying more M3's is a good plan.
Ghost Tank needs upgrade, since Sherman's are not in series, it will cost you.
Long term note the M4A3E2(76) is equal to Panther, available in March '45.
The French 105 is not in series with anything. Sell it and buy a SPaty. A 105 with truck costs more than a M8!
Note the M8 has move of 6, the M12 has move of 4. The M8 is useful for keeping up with the M18 [move of 7]
I would start buying M12s, but since you are on 'Rommel' the cost may force M7s.
You want 2 Engineers for '43, so now is a good time as any to buy.
There is a solution to the cost of buying M3s and upgrading to M10.

I haven't played US Corps yet so I can't say much. However, I like it so I am thinking of playing it as well (e.g. one scenario ahead of you)... then I might have a more informed opinion... until then I just continue watching!
