Yes, I'm trapped in Basingstoke and nobody plays FoG!

So if there is anybody out there nearby - Reading/Winchester etc. then let me know before I buy a Warhammer Fantasy army out of desperation *sob*

There should be players in Reading and Reigate isn't that far away.

For Reading try looking up the Wargames Association of Reading

Hi there,

I'm based in Salisbury and always interested in a game, I have a 6' x 4' table as well, plus there is a club in Winchester that is just starting to play some FOG - I've got a game there next Tuesday.

And there are more players up near Farnborough.

I'm in Fareham - but this Winchester venue looks good.

Please contact me at peterdalby@talktalk.net if you fancy a game.

Brilliant, thanks for the quick responses guys. I'm no where near ready for a game as I don't even have an army yet! I've just moved here from Australia and wanted to cast around, find a group, then pick something compatible (scale/thematically) to collect and go from there.

So John I may swing by that Winchester venue on Tuesday for a bit of spectating. I've never actually really seen the game in action and although I think I've figured most of it out the rulebook is by no means easy to digest! I think things will become clearer after seeing bits moving around and doing stuff. :)

Thanks again,

Ben

Farnborough Wargames Society meets on Friday nights (and some Sundays).

http://www.fwgs.org.uk/

At least half a dozen of us play FOG and can fix you up with a loan army until you get your own.

And similarly I can provide armies if you need for a learning game - I have plenty and can even do some matched pairs.

Thanks for the offers Lawrence/John

I got down to the Winchester club the other night and I'll try and get down to Farnborough on a Friday at some stage also.

I'm thinking I'm going to start collecting Gauls - a big band of angry, hairy, madmen does appeal to me.
