Slitherine

I have downloaded and updated to V 1.5.3 and I now find that Music is not playing. I have checked the settings and Music is set to play. I do get in game sounds (the SFX sounds), but none of the music files. I notice that the sounds are WAV while the Music is MP3, but I have not changed any of these so I have no idea why they have stopped playing. They play ok in windows media player when I play them directly. Any suggestions/ideas?
Apart from the music issue the game seems to play ok.

Are other programs running at the same time?

As far as I know nothing has changed in the game that would affect the music playing. However, I will check with the engine programmer.

Re other progs running at the same time. Only stuff like Chrome browser, and nothing that was not running before the update when music played fine. Other games, such as Pike and Shot, Scourge of War Gettysburg and Scourge of War Waterloo are operating normally.

Not sure if this helps, but I have noticied that in the Data folder the file "sfx0" was updated when V1.5.3 was run, but the files "music", "music1" and "music2" were not. These seem to refer the exisitng music files, e.g. MainMenu, so I suppose they did not need to be updated/replaced?

sfx0.txt was updated with the addition of the screenshot "camera shutter" sound.

Yes the camera shutter sound is working ok, as are all of the other sfx sounds. I'm stumped, and as no one else has reported this problem it must be something local to me. I may try and restore the previous version and see what happens then.

Maybe play with music volume. Set to lowest, highest, somewhere on the middle.

I rolled back to a previous version, music played ok, so I updated again and now all is fine. Not sure what was wrong (if anything), must have just been a glitch/gremlin during the original update. Thank you all for your suggestions.
