Doom in 10 Years!

Well, I thought, with the latest patch, I'd try the Iberians again in the Mediterranean. Heroic.

I lasted 10 years before my food supply crashed. Various attempts met with the same result. The single city becomes damaged and am unable to repair because of not enough word + stone.

Has anyone tried playing this nation? Any luck on the higher difficulty?

Helpful hints?

did you keep garisson unit in that city? In cities close to border on heroic this is a must.

No, had the 4 nomads trying to claim some land. After that, yes, since Carthage kept showing up around turn 12. :(

It's an interesting challenge. I helped the food crisis a bit by using 1 nomad to found a city to the northwest where there is fertile land. But then Carthage appears and am just completely overpowered + Massilia decided that time through to also attack. :( . If I can somehow do it so I get to be able to build warriors and haven't been slaughtered, maybe then I can hang on. Not being able to build anything or any troops is tough. I hope they are actually playable.

I'll keep you updated if I meet with any success.

In theory they should be playable at least for 20+ turns but I cannot really say that you can win the game.

I found I could hold my own when defending the capital with 2 nomads + 1 warrior. But they surrounded and food was nonexistent, so I had to attack out and that weakened my troops. There were just too many Carthaginian units.

Aren't the Carthaginians fighting other factions like the Romans? I guess Carthage wants to take control of Iberia before fighting Rome.
