Silk Road Version 1.5 will not work with game version v1.5.3, and games started with v1.5 won't work with v1.6.

There is however, a workaround, that will allow you to finish your games. For MP both players will need to do this. (Generals names will be messed up, but the games will play out normally.)

Download the new v1.6 versions of Silk Road then:

1) If you have not deleted the Silk Road v1.5 folders from your system.

Copy the file

RandomGeneralName.BSF

from /Data/Scripts in one of the v1.6 folders, then copy it to the same place in all of the v1.5 folders.

All of the folders will be found in

/Documents/My Games/FieldofGlory2/CAMPAIGNS (for SP custom battles and campaigns) and /Documents/My Games/FieldofGlory2/MULTIPLAYER (for MP custom battles)

2) If you have deleted the Silk Road v1.5 folders from your system.

Copy the v1.6 folders and rename the copies 1.5.

Then go into the Text21.txt file in each v1.5 folder and change 1.6 to 1.5

I have updated all of vakarr's campaigns that were affected by the issue. You can download the new versions in-game. You should do this for new campaigns because otherwise the Thracian generals' names won't work correctly.

But as you say, the above workaround works to allow you to finish on-going campaigns.
