Hi I just purchased the game but can't enjoy it until Christmas. I keep watching You-tube videos and reading the developer diaries. I was wondering if units can enter another faction's territory without a homeland movement agreement. Does this start a war or can you protest their actions?

I ask because in another 4x I'm playing other factions can roam your land at will. It doesn't automatically start a war and there's no diplomacy that stops them i.e. ("Please remove your armies from our Territory")

You can enter another faction's territory if

• you have homeland movement treaty
• you are in confederation
• you are in federation
• you are in war with the faction (which basically results in territory conquest except for units like Settlers or Wagons)

You mean the game is a Christmas present for you so you can't play it until Christmas? That must be torture. It must feel like a freshly baked pan of lasagna is on the table in front of you looking & smelling delicious but you aren't allowed to eat it for an hour.

Yes it's a Christmas gift from my wife... I'm on the the Honor system not to play until the 25th. Not easy

Wow you are very honest and noble. On the bright side, the game will be ever more interesting & fun on Christmas day after the agonizing wait because of the suppressed urge to dive into it.

My first impressions are Excellent. I played some way through the Rome tutorial and now a random map just to get the feel of things. I'm very impressed with the way everything interacts. You can't just mass produce units you need citizens; seems if you use up too many citizens your knowledge suffers which slows research. Nice!

I'm looking forward to the Big Mediterranean Scenario. Thanks for the Game!
