Plantation Terrain

Hey Guys,

Another terrain question if I could. I am planning on making a couple of plantation pieces for FOG and wanted to hear if I was on track for what I wanted to do. I was planning on flocking either an MDF board or rubber sheet the right size. Then on top of that I was thinking on using some 6mm size trees and just place them on top in rows. The trees should be just higher than the figures. And I thought if I placed them on the terrain rather than glue them in place that I could move them around as needed for BGs moving through them. The trees have metal washers on the bottom and the bases are flocked.

Is that in line with others are doing?

Thanks

Brian

I'm using separate trees in rows that can be moved/removed when you put a BG into the area.

Yes, I would do something like what you suggest. In fact, you can just use an Open Field or Enclosed Field terrain piece with your 6mm trees placed on it. That way it doubles up as two types of terrain.

Until we find a good way of making good looking terrain bases, I am using felt for the 'area' with something else to detail what sort of terrain it is. Plantation is a dark brown (difficult) with small trees.

Would like to see some pictures of yours if you decide to make it that way. Sounds nice!
