that following gives some preliminary details for our events in 2019.

Grateful for views and comments. The dates are (pretty) fixed but all else can change in principal.

Thanks for an early indication of likely interest in each event; we shall have a limit on numbers as the dates are our regular club meetings and we must ensure other OWS members who are not FOGR players can get a table too!.

Oxford Southern League events for 2019

We are thinking of making some changes. The 15mm events could be 3x2.5hour battles on a 5ft x3 ft table using just 650 points. Modified deployment. Reduced terrain piece numbers but bring your own.

February, Sunday 10th FOGR 15mm event – Rebels of Europe unite 1514-1576

April, Sunday 14th FOGR 15mm ECW event – ECW

June Sunday 9th FOGR 15mm event – Portuguese Colonial Expansion 1494-1557
• Colonial Portuguese
• Ming Chinese (No Allies)
• Muslim Indian - Deccan Sultanate options only (Vijayanager Allies only)
• Hindu Indian – Vijayanager and Sinhalese options only
• Indonesian
• Thai, Burmese, Khmer
• Settled Arab States -Oman and Yemen options only
• Ethiopian
• Zanj
• Horn of Africa
• Early Ottoman Turks (No allies)
• Tupi (no French allies)
• Central African
• West African Forest
• North African States – Morocco options only

September, Sunday 8th FOGR 15mm event – Late European Armies (includes Ottoman)

October, Sunday 6th FOGR 25mm open event

Armies allowed – any army from any list. Will probably be 650 points on a 7.5ftX4.5ft table (approx.) with rules the same as for 15mm above (but MU is 40mm).

I am ok for the April date and have put in the diary.

The February date would be ok, but I may need to borrow an army.

I am definitely available for the April and September events, possibly the June one too, if I can borrow an Indian army (prefer Hindu). Not February and October though (bad dates for me).

It should be possible for members of the Oxford Club to assist with spare armies if required.
The only requirement will be a lot of notice for the figures to be found.

Looks good to me, hope to make all four competitions! I've just got to see if I can cobble together an army for each round from my existing forces! Hope everyone had a good Christmas and Happy New Year of Wargaming for 2019!

I'll be interested in all of these if I'm available on the dates, bit hard to plan in advance at the moment.
