Purchased CEaW over the net and the game worked fine for a couple of weeks, but it stopped loading, maybe a trojan horse issue according to symantec on the laptop? Deleted game assuming I could reload over the net, but bad move I guess. Tried to reload the demo, but that won't go either... Now what??? Any good ideas out there...

You should have received email with your order with details on how to download? The Trojan warning is almost certainly the virus checker having failed to add the app to their list, there probably wasn't any infection. Iain should be able to help you more when the office opens in the morning GMT.

If you install the demo and send us your order details we should be able to issue you a key to get you up and running.

You should mail info@slitherine.co.uk with your details. Posting them on the forum isn't very secure. You may need to validate your mail address for the spam filter.

Thanks

Can you be more specific on what happens with the demo. How does it fail, what message do you see? The more information we have the better we can try and work out what is causing you to have problems.

Cheers

The anti-virus thinks the i4j61645.temp file contains a trojan horse and quarentines the file before I can use it. So either there is a problem with the download files or my anti virus program on the laptop from symantec (and running Vista by the way) is tweeked way too much... But the game ran fine for about 3-weeks before this issue occurred, and I don't recall any upgrades to the anti-virus program lately...

Your anti virus program seems to be preventing the game from installing. There isn't anything we can do about this. You'd need to turn your virus checker off or validate its all ok to it somehow.

OK, disabled the anti-virus program, downloaded the demo, the game works, and all is right with the world! Oh, and what the heck kind of wild code is in there that triggers these kinds of problems anyway? I doubt I'm the only one who is or will be having this problem... Oh, and a final note, now I have to remember to turn off the anti-virus program every time I sit down to play for awhile or the same problem happens again, immediately... Happy Thanksgiving guys and thx for the help.

It's all related to digital rivers copy protection system which we are not using again for the future :)
