Well, it's been reported here and logged in the bugs database. Apparently there was an unannounced change in the campaign editor by which a new campaign branch date now interacts with specialisations.csv to "schedule" when specialisations are available. (There are other related problems in which the wrong dates are entered in specialisations.csv and units.csv is lacking some reference to specialisations as well but this is the big issue.)

So the whole thing has to be looked at, explained, and fixed. Even the Endsieg DLC designer seems to have not realized that "1944" cannot be shortened to "44" in the branch date because that's being interpreted as "44 A.D." (Thanks again for pointing that out in the Current Bugs thread, terminator.) This is why I keep harping on communication here; a simple announcement of the new campaign branch date feature and how it works would have alerted DLC designers and beta testers as to what to look for.

All that being said, a fix is hopefully in the works and to that effect we are trying out a new bugs database managed by Slitherine to hopefully improve the responsiveness of the developers in fixing bugs and communicating with the community about them. We all have to "stay tuned."

Using the Cheat Codes, I will test this bug with the dates.
I use #epiphany <value> (Gives <value< spec Point) & #igotnukes (instant (minor) victory).
There is something strange : with #igotnukes I did never arrived to Anzio (...Novgorod->Vyazma->Moscow 44...). I was thinking that #igotnukes give minor victory ???

First, there is a line of time which corresponds to the date (which causes problem in certain scenarios).
Example with the first scenario :

You can see that I took 100 Spec Points 8)

Here are the bugs (impossible to show Anzio but it doesn't matter).

Minor bug with Market Garden : 18/1/1944 (error) -> 18/09/1944 (right) :

More important bug with Antwerp : 1/2/1944 (error) -> 1/2/1945 (right)
Certain specializations are inaccessible (Vampir Nachtjäger...) :

Major bug with Calais 45 : 1/5/45 (error) -> 1/5/1945 (right)
No more specialization is accessible (same bug as in Anzio) :

I have corrected the date for the scenario Calais 45. It was necessary to correct the End date to have enough place :

Now it works :

I did not understand why I never arrived at Anzio with the cheat code "#igotnukes".

I had in the spirit that with this cheat code we could only have a Minor Victory :

According to the Campaign Tree, with a Minor Victory we would find ourselves to Anzio :

Here I am at the moment in Novgorod typing the cheat code :

Here is the explanation : #igotnukes -> Major Victory :!:

IIRC early in OOB the code gave victory according to what you had achieved already in a scn - so using the code at the beginning gave usually minor, since no objectives were done. I guess it was changed because minor does not always allow to progress, so the code would be not much of help if you want to go quickly through the cam.

I checked BK and PK, too

There are some mistakes in scenario's dates: (proper start dates based on the operational situation on the map)
Warsaw scn (BK) 19/9/1939 -> 10/9/1939
Kiev scn (BK) 23/8/1941 -> 31/8/1941
Kalach scn (PK) 1/7/1942 -> 27/7/1942

These are minor bugs, but I've found the serious one which may also affect specializations and other things :!:
Kursk scn (PK) 5/2/1943 -> 5/7/1943

For Kursk, it changes nothing with the specialisations if you correct the date.

The wrong date (5/2/1943) :

The good date (5/7/1943) :

Sure, just all of them are available early enough, but now you can move some of them in time... :wink:

Attention, it is necessary to have enough place below to be able to show the specializations. If there is not enough place below, the specializations will not be shown. I saw it by changing dates for Endsieg. It is then necessary to change End date.

What is the correct end date for the "Entwicklung Series" The current date in the csv file is 7/1945 which is outside the last scenario, Calais which is 5/1945 (actually 5/45 but I've fixed that). Was it intended that the "Entwicklung Series" be available 7/1944 for Falaise or 5/1945 for Calais?

Note: if you change the datse, you have to load the final turn of the previous scenario to get it to load correctly. Just loading the campaign file will not update the dates of the specializations / current date.

The game has been (badly) coded to only allow picking specs that are set on or before the start-date of the previously played scenario.
To access the E-100, you can do following by changing two dates:
specialisations.csv\Entwicklung_Series: 7/1945 -> 2/1945 to get the spec between Antwerp and Calais.
units.csv\PzKw_E-100: 1/7/1945 -> 1/5/1945 to purchase the E-100 in Calais.

You can use a text-editor like notepad to safely edit these dates in these files.

Thanks Horst. Did that and it worked! Crying shame the dev's overlooked this rather glaring error and it was not caught in Beta Testing :?

Thus it is the last scenario logically the least tested. The first scenarios are the most tested.

I didn't participate, but from what I read, the specs were introduced last in the test, and I think the "Entwicklungsseries" spec didn't even make it into the beta... :shock: :wink:

I have never bought a tank panther in the first scenario, too expensively. Other Beta testers seem they did the same.
