In the example below can the knights intecept charge the light horse if the light horse charge the light foot???
Kn Kn Kn Kn
LF LF LF
LF LF LF
LH LH
LH LH
I assume not, as in the turn sequence intercept charges occur before evades, therefore Kn can't get to LH to intercept because LF are in the way, then LF evade through Kn, then LH move their VMD after LF stoppong 1 MU away from Kn if they would contact them.

That seems right to me.

The Knight cannot intercept unless the LF break upon having a charge declared upon them (which could only happen if the LF were fragmented already at charge declaration). As they are then routing not evading. Routs in the impact phase come before intercept charge moves, evades after.

Thats in interesting point philqw78, makes it less appealing to charge fargmented troops if you can get intercept charged

If the potential interceptors are within 3 MU of Fragmented non-skirmish troops you either hit the Fragmented or they rout and inflict a cohesion test on the potential interceptors, then if they disrupt and are non-shock they need to pass a CMT to intercept. Of course, it's a gamble ahead of time.

This is also subject to other rules. If the uncovered troops are within the normal charge move of the chargers they become a target and therefore cannot intercept.
