Multiplayer resign

I tried to resign a multiplayer game. Custom scenario saved under 7.1.4.
I think this button used to be called Resign in multiplayer?
Clicking the button I get the standard message about a restart and the game returns to the server.
The game is longer listed under My Matches. I thought it would remain there until the opponent had launched his/her turn?
