After downloading the update file a screen appeared showing Field of Glory 2 and Immortal Fire in the bottom window. It asked which of the two I wanted to update so I chose FOG2. Why was Immortal Fire there and do I need to update it as well? I also own Legions Triumphant but it was not shown in the window. Thanks.

Hi Canuck, sorry you are having issues with our updater installer.

Hopefully we can help and get it working for you.

The way the update works - is it picks up what DLC expansions (Legions Triumphant, Immortal Fire etc) you have installed and lists them in what i believe is the bottom window you mention. This is just a list of the activated products attached to FOG2 - so the games you see listed are activated for you.

The installer allows you to activate additional FOG DLC's with each update - so if you buy Rise of Persia for example, you can activate it using the update installer as well as the usual setup installer method we provide with purchase (both are designed to work in the same way - activating additional content).

Entering the serial given to you on purchase and hitting the 'Activate serial button' will add the game in question along with the serial number into that bottom window - once you hit next and the update finishes, the content will be unlocked for you and the game updated too.

In regards to Legions Triumphant, if you still have access to the serial number (if you have registered the game in our members area you can find it there @ https://www.slitherine.com/members/) then click 'Select a New Product to Install' from the drop down menu and select Legions Triumphant and input the Serial in the box below and hit the 'Activate Serial Button'. This will add it to the list in the bottom window and once you finish the update will add the content to your game.

To activate a product that is not already in the activated list, there is a drop down menu at the top of the form.

Thank you for the prompt replies. Even though only Immortal Fire appeared in the bottom window I am able to play it (epic battles) as well as Legions Triumphant. Strange. As my version now reads 1.4.7 I assume that I don't have to do anything else. I also kept all my activation keys in case I have to re-activate either one. On another subject, it would be helpful if it was indicated for each community scenario download as to which DLC you need to play it. Looking forward to seeing El Cid in a future DLC!

You don't need to own any DLCs to play any of the community scenario downloads, even if they use DLC units. These are all available in the updated base game for use by editor-created scenarios.
