Exhaust effect helper object

I have place the Exhaust helper object in a model, similarly to damage and weapon location helpers, but I could not make it work. Is there something I am doing wrong or it's impossible like propellers?
Can someone help in this? Thanks a lot!

Sorry, I had no idea such even existed. Like discovering that a "shadow map" is required for planes (only) to have a shadow in-game...
