Random crashes

I need some help from you PC-savvy guys.
I suffer from frequent crashes in OOB. It 'only' happens playing a game, never in the editor/campaign screen. Both single player and multiplayer are affected.
With all my multiplayer restarts after crashes the server probably have me logged as a cheater
Crashes happens at random;, AI turn, replay, multiplayer chat, clicking on a unit etc. Just about every kind of action may trigger the crash.
Also, the graphics are occasionally sluggy.

I suspect this issue may be related to something in my PC setup.
It certainly is powerful enough on the paper to handle OOB.
All drivers are kept up to date using Driver Easy.

AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Quad-Core 3.20GHz
RAM 32 GB
Win 10 Home 64bit
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

I have included a crash report, output.log and DxDiag.

Thanks for any help
Erik

Edit: OOB is the only application I have problems with.

Really powerful equipment, must admit
I have i7-4790K Quad-Core 4 GHz, RAM 16 GB, Win 7 Pro 64bit and nVidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB and it works like a space rocket, no crashes, any AI lags
I suspect the problem may be AMD architecture inside your PC, there may be a little conflict between the processor and the graphics card, GeForce has always been dedicated to Pentium processors, while Radeon cards was for AMD... :?
I'm not a specialist but it's a first thing that comes to my mind
Radeon would be better for your PC config (maybe the new Ryzen works better with GeForce than earlier models like Athlon or Sempron, but it still probably isn't a successful marriage  )

My setup is similar to Kondi's, but with Erik's graphics card :D .
Win7/64, Intel & Nvidia, Steam version. And I also don't remember any significant crashes or problems with OoB (happened once or twice, no biggie). Actually runs quite smoothly.
But: I don't play multiplayer matches.

Do you have any additional controllers/joysticks/mice attached?

Does this happen playing stock scens/campaigns or mainly during custom stuff?

And entries like this I've never had in my OoB-log files:

Code: Select all

HandleD3DDeviceLost
  HandleD3DDeviceLost: needs reset, doing it
FullResetD3DDevice
ResetD3DDevice
dev->Reset
D3Dwindow device not lost anymore
Executing trigger: Primary objectives/Supply road closed

I had crashes recently, too. OoB really taxes your computer extraordinarily - and my setup is almost as powerful as Erik's.
What 'solved' this issue for me was realizing how hot my desktop got when playing OoB. And only playing OoB, other programmes work fine.
So I removed my side panel (temporarily) and directed a fan there, voila. I know, the heat wave is over, but for me this solved the freezing and crashing problems I had during the summer months. I know, this sounds silly - but maybe this helps.

This part of log file indicates that the problem is a graphic card - Direct 3D (D3D) is the main device of GeForce family cards responsible for game graphic.
In my opinion, there is a serious conflict in hardware (amd->geforce) if it requires a full reset.
The problem is not even the processor itself, only the motherboard, which has a different architecture for Intel / Pentium, and another for AMD

But I'm not a specialist as I wrote earlier, although I buy computer parts myself in online stores and I assemble a PC myself, always ...

Thanks guys. I suspect the AMD CPU/motherboard/Nvidia combo as well.
No other controllers.
Happens on stock stuff as well, ie the new beta.
