Speedy's allied units icons project

Hello all

I've decided to make some mask and a couple of new icons in order to improve the actual roster for the allies, focusing mainly on the US and the British units. Everything is here to be picked and any feedback or comment would be really appreciated since I'm still a newbie at making icons and masks so there might be some imperfections left. On the other hand, all new icons are designed to be as historically accurate as possible and are thoroughly researched. I intend to post on a regular basis starting with vehicles for both countries, in no specific order though.

Hello Speedy:

Excellent new icons for the Matilda and the Crusader tanks, two classics of the Early Years of the desert war in North Africa... Thanks for sharing!!

By the way, in relation to that topic... I think that you may like these British desert camo skins I developed for my use. If you use the Dwight's Camo Sprayshop tool, you will find them useful.

Hello Guille

Thanks for your words and your desert skins look really great I've tried them on a couple of units look great on both Matilda's and Crusaders as you can see here. I think a lot of people will enjoy them. Thanks a lot for sharing the skins!

Speedy: Yes, they look smart, indeed... :-) I made several variation on the basic camouflage pattern because some of the skins look better than others depending what icon do you apply them on. Those units you recently posted will go straight to my unit collection and they will feature in the desert war part of "my" campaign!!

You work hard, and you achieve great results, friend... Keep it up!

Hello speedythefreak,

Are you planning to redo vanilla desert icons?
They need it badly.
Will you then go to the aircraft?

Regards
Yves

Hello Yves

These units are intended to be played with the Allied corps DLC, so by adding new entries in the equipment or replacing the icon file you can use them in whichever scenario you want. When you mention the vanilla desert icons do you mean the german ones in the Desert folder located in the unit file ? I wasn't planning on this but might do so, I still have a lot to do with the icons for the allies, at least I intend to create plain icons and mask so they can go through the DCS so people can paint them the way they want. I do not intend to work on aircraft there are alraedy plenty of great looking variants available.
