Space Marine Economy Suggestion

It's been noted that Space marines tend to suffer in the end game due to not having the ability to create more cities. So I have an two ideas.

1: Give the Space Marines researches at t5 and t10 respectively that increase resource output by 1.5x and 2.0x
or
2: Allow Space Marine Forts to expand in a radius of one tile, 3 times, allowing basic resource buildings to be produced while still keeping the % bonus from those tiles

Thoughts?

Maybe for I play only solo games, I don't feel SM economy becomes bad.
If my economy lowers, it's for on the long run my army is becoming big (and so its upkeep), at least 2 times bigger than the stronger AI. So AIs have better economy, but lower army strenght and they will lose..

However allowing just one tile radius arround the fortress would be nice. At least to help its close defense :)

1: Would make every other strategy than beelining to those techs practically useless.

No, the best faction in the game does not need an economy buff. In fact, their economy is very strong.
