I notice just about every starter list has 3 commanders. Then, while reading my army list, I noticed that I am only required to have 1, but can have as many at 6. Is that right?

Omar, see page 149. It says you can only have 1 C in C and up to 3 subordinate commanders for a total of upto 4.

When your list says that you can have 1 C in C of any rating, and subordinate commander as either
FC 0-2
TC 0-3

You can take up to the max limit of 4 overall and the max of the above list for the subordinate commanders. So if you wanted for example all FC's the most you could have is 3. 1 C in C and 2 subs.

Hi Omar

Page 28 of the FOG rulebook states:

Each army must have a commander-in-chief and 1 to 3 subordinate or allied commanders.

For an army as small as the starter army or even 650 AP armies people may use only 3 but for the larger armies most people will use 4.

Your army list is only showing the maximum and minimum allowed of each type of commander.

Hope that helps.

Rob
