Hi, I've been playing the game for a little bit now and I thought I've had it all figured out, but it turns out I seem to misunderstand the combat strength bonus. Maybe somebody on the forums could help me out here.
My unit of "Thracians" with a general is fighting (or was, since battle ended here) against a Warband (Loose Order). No unit was disrupted, no highground or cohesion issues, so the fight was clearly in my advantage due to the general giving +50 POA. However after losing some men my unit started losing and this is where I can't understand why. I thought that if foot units only use 480 men in combat and when one side has less (mine in this case), a bonus in combat for the bigger unit is 50% of the strength difference. As You can see in my screenshot I have 330 men so that makes it 31.25% strength difference, which they should get half 15.625%. Which would mean I should still be winning (which is clearly not the case, so I've got it all wrong).
If anybody could explain to me how does combat strength bonus actually works, I'd be grateful!

45.45%/2 = 22.7%

Ah, so this is how it calcualtes the strength bonus; much different than I thought it does. Thanks for the clarification MikeC_81.

In the exemple how is calculated POA Modifier (+16%) ?
And how is calculated final result probability ? (w: 9%/ d: 73%/ l: 18%) ?
