Are they worth the points other than for bulking out an army ?

And I apologise if this has been covered elsewhere, the Slav MF in the Croatian list; I thought they had a reputation for axes ? Could they not have been HW ?

On the first point, I suppose it depends. In period they would have their uses in terrain (unless they were on tour in the middle east and wound up facing Dailami

They are cheap and do give some "reach" into terrain. Could be used to cover any of your mounted troops evading.
