Potential new buyer concerned whether the game works

Hi all,
I have played the demo and like it. Have decided to buy the game and was reading the Matrix games forums. Looks like this game does not currently work for a great number of players?
I have Windows XP service pack 3 and no idea what level of java is currently included.
Is there currently any point me buying this game?

If the Slitherine demo works there will be no issue if you buy the Slitherine version. There should also be no issue with the Matrix version as they are supposed to be the same but some subtle differences have emerged due to the installation routine on a very limited number of machines, so I can't guarantee 100% that would work.

OK, so if the demo works, version 1.06 will work and there will not be any problem with this java bug thing that seems to get mentioned alot. (I'll buy the Slitherine version)

We've not had any issues reported so as far as we know its 100%. If not let me know and we'll sort you out.

The demo is the Slitherine version already. Demo=Game so if one works the other works.
From demo when you exit there is a purchase button where you will reach the Slitherine shop directly.
