I'm having a problem with FoG II. I have just started playing and have reread the manual and watched a YouTube play-through or two and noticed that there is, or was, a "Rise of Rome" sandbox campaign that I do not appear to have access to. When I load the campaign menu there is no "Rise of Rome" option and I only have access to the pregenerated named campaigns which I managed to complete reasonably quickly.

I bought both expansions at the same time, just after the last patch was released, and installed them concurrently. I never got around to playing the vanilla game prior to either the new patch or added expansions. Has the sandbox feature gone? Am I doing something wrong that it is not coming up? I checked the patch notes and am not seeing anything of relevance.

Those Youtube videos are probably several months old.

Rise of Rome was the subtitle of the original game. After the DLCs started coming out, the sandbox campaign was renamed to "Field of Glory II Campaigns", as all the new armies were added and to continue calling the sandbox campaign "Rise of Rome" would have been misleading. All the original Rise of Rome armies, plus the new armies that came with the DLCs, are in the Field of Glory II Campaigns. It should be the first campaign in your list. if it is not then something is wrong.

Solved. Many thanks Paul. I guess I'm just getting old - if I had looked for and seen the launch button under the campaign name my problem could have been solved a tad quicker. I simply saw the campaign name as being a header for the rest of the following campaign names.

Yes, that thought occurred to me when I was checking the campaign screen!
