I am experiencing some inconsistencies regarding modifiers and terrain Line of Sight.

Some more instances of confusion.

I keep encountering these.

Attacking over a river? 50% chance of get -2 attack / 50% no effect.
Surrounding an enemy? 50% chance your unit will get the support bonus.
Charging someone on a hill? 50% chance you get the penality.
Shooting at a column? 50% chance you get a line vs col modifier.
No attack altering parameters? 50% chance of uncredited attack bonus to you or the enemy.

The list goes on...

Somewhere beneath this mess of randomness, there are some interesting mechanics. I really hope the patch is coming along.

Your screenshots show another strange—though only cosmetic—problem. In some scenarios, the flags on the battle analysis pop-up are reversed. For example, in the first post, third image, the French player has the Austrian flag in the pop-up, and in the second post, the Prussian flag. But in other scenarios, it is the other way around.

Hmm, as far as I know, the player flag always shows on the right side, along with the dmage you will inflict.

I haven't seen this with flags either. Or the damage. Shenandoah will sure come up with a patch or update soon to fix these problems.

I tried to make a screenshot to show it, but I don't see it. I must have mistaken one country's flag for another.
