I was trying to set up a Double Rommel game on Field Marshall

In other words 25% prestige and 50% experience earned...but the advanced settings on the game do not work to tweak your game that way.

Why?

Is there a trick to setting up the game the way I laid out?

You need to give more detail on what is not working.

Did you remember to click the Custom Settings box?

To get exactly 25% I had to use the arrow keys on my keyboard, but it seems to work.

Yes I did that too, but when I played the scenario I was not getting 25% prestige. So creating the settings did not change the way the game was played.

Does it for you? If so can you shoot some screen shots on what you are doing, or something?

Playing Nico's upgrade to GC39 were you buy your own army. This is the start of 2nd scenario of campaign.

I do exactly as you show
I try to load up 39 Campaign Field Marshall setting, and drop my prestige earned to 25% just like you show....

If I start just a normal Field Marshall Campaign 1600

Not sure why it does not work, I had another American friend test his out and the same thing happened. UGH!

I used Nico's GC39, the first scenario has a heroed Pz3E that takes the Flag, end turn, get DV, collect 3600pp, go to Pozan with 3600 to buy your army.

I used it because it is a quick way to test the settings. I played on Colonel, took a screenshot, played with modified FM, took two screenshots.
in less than two minutes total.

Since you don't do mods you will have to take a defended flag, which will take longer than I took.

When I captured the city flag I got 12 pp, 1/4 of 50.
3600 for DV -> 900 for total of 912.

I went to my 'clean' copy of PzC, with the 25% setting I get 400 pp

That did it
