Here are a couple of threads where Johan refers to the upcoming patch. It would be unlikely that anyone is going to commit to a date yet, because patching always runs the risk of breaking something else in the game---so it will need to be tested.

Any word on the patch.The game is unplayable till we get this patch.

Not unplayable just not much fun. I think this game a great potential unfortunately not much incentive to explore it with the current AI

Just to inform you a first patch entered into the Beta test phase. So we hope all CNaW testers involved really give us as much feedback as possible.
