Commander Series

I'm loving this series of games, they certainly, for me, bring back the enjoyment factor. Not sure if you are thinking about other possible areas for development but if you are, may I suggest a possible candidate in Frederick the Great. There are not many games which cover this horse and musket era and it seems to be an interesting time. Fred himself was a great strategist and tactician and his campaigns have many of the elements which make the Napoleon game so thought provoking.

Many years ago, SPI produced a board game on this topic - it was always one of my favourites.

We consider anything of sufficient interest for the strategy gamers, so keep the ideas coming :)

A Frederick the Great game would also fit with what has seemed to be the blueprint for the Commander Series: a centrally located country taking on the rest of Europe. I don't know how much interest you would garner with a game on this period, however, as it's my impression that not too many people are interested in Frederick the Great here in the U.S. They definately don't teach it in school, not even really in European history. It's really unfortunate that they don't teach Americans anything about a man Napoleon himself thought was the greatest tactical genius of all time. When Americans think of great generals, they think of Washington, Lee, Grant, but I'm not sure any of these guys could beat a Napoleon or a Frederick.
