Hey Lt. Joker and Braccada,
You should post that 4 and half hour discussion you did about the Let's play and the historical discussion.
I listened at work today to areas I missed on live post. That was fun to participate in, I hope you can also post when the live plays will be for Piatek as that is must watch tv for me, unless it is during working hours.
So glad you guys are both doing this and the Manstein playthrough Braccada is doing.
Thoroughly enjoying
Re: Grand Campaign Dual Let's Play - Lt Joker & Braccada
18 September 1939 - With the phenomenally successful outcome of the Battle for the Bzura, an opportunity has presented itself to springboard all the way to the outskirts of Warsaw. Polish forces have been spotted converging on Warsaw by train, and my task is to intercept these train convoys. By utilizing the natural cover of the Kampinoska Forest and is many rail lines, the Polish are moving a dozen or more formations East toward Warsaw. My objective is to seize several key cities within the forest and to eliminate as many troop trains as my forces are able to find. Once this is complete, the first phase is to isoltate and besiege Warsaw will be complete.
23 September 1939 - One last bastion of Polish resistance remains standing before Warsaw: The Modlin Fortress. This stronghold, and the sourrounding fortifications, are closely linked to Warsaw's defence and must be eliminated. My task is to capture all objectives and destroy both the Modlin Fortress as well as its headquarters. Failing this, I should attempt to secure as many objectives as possible, and then it may be possible to either force the fortress to surrender or leave it to be neutralized and ignored. Time is of the essence. For every day that passes, Warsaw continues to be fortified and Poland's allies edge ever closer to intervening!
28 September 1939 - Although much of Poland has fallen under German control, the capital Warsaw stands defiant. Defiant, but alone. Even with the entrance of our Soviet allies into this war, the Polish government has refused to capitulate. My objective is to occupy the city of Warsaw itself. This battle will undoubtely be the most difficult thus far, as the Polish Capital is a sprawling metropolis that consists of multiple districts. The remnants of the Polish air force are based around Warsaw, and the city itself is heavily fortified. Altough Warsaw has been cut off from the North, West and South, there are still several avenues from the East where Polish reinforcements are still trickling into the Capital. Intelligence reports that we may be able to turn this crisis into an opportunity! Reconnaissance units have reported a signifikant build up of heavy Polish artillery beiing stockpiled in the cities of Miase, Stanislawow, Minsk Mazowiecki and Gadka. These units are currently only lightly guarded by Polish sentries and are ripe for the taking. If we mange to take capture them, High Command will gladly provide additional gun crews to operate these guns and use them against their former owners!
