Ok I hit send for a personal message whether sending myself or after hitting reply to one I received.

I get a notice that the message was sent and it appears in my sent messages.

Problem is what also appears is a message in my outbox (same message) and I can't seem to find a way to send it out from the outbox. I don't think the person I send it to is ever getting it.

How do we get a sent message to leave the outbox?!

it only leaves the outbox when the receiver have got it, so if it's still there, it's unread

so sent message means you have sent it

outbox means it's been sent, but not yet delivered or received / read
