So, like the title already says, my game really slows down on battles with mountain terrain, but only if i am really near the mountains, the rest of the battlefield runs smoothly.

What is your system spec? The mountains are not especially geometry-heavy.

Something more to know?

You certainly should not be seeing any slowdown at all. SHIFT+Q should show you framerates, and the corresponding change in FPS when you are near to or away from the mountains.

So on a normal open battlefield I mostly have 60 FPS, near mountains only around 20 FPS, somtimes evens less than that.

Can you post a screenshot of the (or an example) map. The mountains are somewhat over-endowed with faces, but it still shouldn't cause that much of a drop unless there are literally dozens of them on the map.
