Piatek 1939 not working for me

It's in the community-produced scens list and I'm only given about half a dozen German units at the start (mostly guns) and during the game I get no German reinfs and no command points, so I can't buy anything and the Germans can't possibly win!
Pity because it's one of the few OOB scens that have the Poles attacking for a change.
Is it a glitch or am I doing something wrong?

If I remember correctly this is the one with most of the objectives on the river?
Then you should try to deploy a mixed inf/AT/art group behind each river objective.
Hammer the poles as they try to cross, then counterattack when the time is ripe.

I think he is on to something, Erik. You don't give the German player any command points which which to purchase units even though he has plenty of resource points. I see that your primary objectives all call for awarding land command points but those triggers are not being triggered. Let me look more closely . . .
So, it is now Turn 9 and I am defending all objectives (thanks to #johnconnor) but no command points have been awarded. I can only imagine what would be happening if the Poles were being allowed to attack this few defenders.

So here is what I think the difficulty is (by the way, I always feel awkward critiquing your work; I hope you don't mind):

This trigger will not fire until some
other victory point is captured by either side. At that time, if the Germans are still in charge of Piatek, then this objective will be achieved and the command points will be awarded. But until the Germans lose the other victory point, this trigger will not be activated. Is that what you intended?
[By the way, this trigger and its Polish counterpart both point to
Glowno, not Piatek.]

So what this one is saying is, if either side, presumably the Poles, captures a VP, then this trigger will activate and award command points but ONLY if the VP is not one of the four bridges. If it is, this trigger is dead, too.

So the recap is: The Germans have tons of units in reserve but no way to deploy them due to no command units in the beginning. In order to "earn" command units, the player must lose some other primary victory point to gain 5 command points for each remaining one that he possesses. That allows deployment of too few units to meet the Polish attack, apparently. * Each CP increase happens only once because you turn off each trigger after one use. Each trigger gets reactivated only if Piatek, Ozorkow, Lowicz, or all four bridges are recaptured by the Germans. Spike is probably right in that the Germans don't have much of a chance in this situation.
* Let's say you lose Piatek itself as the first Capture VP trigger. That activates the Ozorkow, Lowicz, and 4 Bzura bridges triggers for which you get 3 + 3 + 5 land command points, a total of 11. (Don't forget now, each of those triggers now turns itself off until the Poles capture those points and then the Germans recapture them). With 11 CP, I can deploy two German infantry and one Gebirgsjäger unit for a total of 11 CP. Not enough to be really effective against the Poles in this scenario, I think.

Aha, so this is the very old single scenario, not the updated campaign version...
I'm sorry, but I only have time for updating the campaign versions.
I shall remove these very early pre-campaign scenarios from the vault.
Again, sorry for your troubles.

Uh-oh. I trust I have not offended.

Not at all. Your scenario comments was most probably spot-on.
It is me who should have removed these scenarios a long time ago.

That's a relief. And knowing that, I will see if I can help more on your current projects when you call for it. Not that my own expertise is awe-inspiring - far from it - but on the basis of "two heads are better than one, except on the same body." Heh.
So, with your old custom German player scenarios, you intend to take some of them down? Can you tell me which ones and I will assist in rearranging the thread?

I removed all the Polish scenarios replacing the posts with 'Scenario removed'.
I do plan a peace offering to PoorOldSPikes in the very near future
