Turn cancelled

My internet access dropped out while I was playing a multiplayer turn, but I didn't know that until I tried to upload it. After trying to upload it multiple times, I was told that my turn was "cancelled". What does that mean? Does it mean that I can do the turn again, or is the turn lost? If it is the former, then if I do something stupid enough in my turn to want to redo the whole thing again, all I have to do is turn my modem off and repeatedly try to upload the turn, get it cancelled, then start again (it would have to be something really stupid though as I would also be losing any unexpected favourable combat results and there's also the possibility I might do something else wrong).

Haven't got my internet access back at home yet, so haven't been able to find out what is going to happen when I try to do that turn again yet.

IIRC you are given the option to cancel after a number of failed uploads, but it won't cancel it for you. In theory if you can get internet back you could just wait and upload your turn by retrying (with the caveat that it depends heavily on your network subsystem - the game restarts the internet connection each time you retry, but it may be that you would need to (e.g.) exit the game or restart your machine to regain correct connectivity.

Cheers

The server keeps track of uploads and downloads. If you do this repeatedly you will get banned.
