Different RP/turn ?

Hi all.
I noticed when watching Smolensk on Youtube that both Paradog gamer and Night Phoenix had an RP income of 25 RP/turn and 2 RP/Turn for Waffen SS in Smolensk. In my Smolensk (campaign) I only get 23 RP/turn and 2 RP/turn for Waffen SS.
Also when I go to the scenario of Smolensk the income is 25 Rp/turn and ofc no Waffen SS. I guess there is a logical explanasion for this difference but can someone if so explain why?

I think they are playing an older version of OOB. You have the correct behaviour of the Waffen SS specialisation that deducts the bonus RP from your main forces.

Yea sems to be the correct explanation. I had a save from the Yugoslavia deploy and there I had the same income but in Greece I have 2 less and ofc I have the Waffen SS with 2 . Thank you for quick reply!

Yes, what the specialization offers is essentially a lot of extra CP that come with the caveat that you have to manage 2 resource pools that you cannot move resources between. What I found works for me is that I keep support units in the waffen SS (in Panzerkrieg you get even more CP for it!) such as artilleries with only 1 direct damage unit (infantry/tank) . Otherwise you end up lacking resources to resupply your losses due to small RP income.

Aha, well I got the free unit the Viking one and as it's for free I assume I better use it?

Yes, use that but don't use too aggressively as the unit comes with lower infantry/mechanical defences (though its attacks are higher too). And then with the other 3 RP, you can get a mounted artillery, for example. It's really good because it's the only artillery that can move and fire. However, don't get more than 1 or 2 of these as they don't have a high efficiency-reducing attack.
