After installing the latest Windows 10 update, Panzer Corps stopped working.

I've been playing this game for years, and in fact had played it last week. It stopped working entirely, as in when I tried to launch the program, nothing happened. Not even an error message. I tried the compatibility troubleshooter, and got this message after trying to run it again - "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

Anyone know how to resolve this?

yes, uninstall it and reinstall it, using the latest download from the members section, and remember to makes sure the folder is totally clean before re installing, and make sure you add or say yes to all the pre requisites etc as it installs, as they are needed

and finally when reinstalling, right click and install as admin and try and remember to do it for all windows games, then you won't or shouldn't get any file permissions errors either, good luck.

just in case it doesn't work, 99% sure it will mind you, if not, check the firewall and Anti Virus logs to see if they have blocked or stopped the game from running.

Okay, it's Norton. And nothing I'm doing is helping.

I keep trying to exclude WS.reputation from the blocked programs list, but every time I try to launch the game I get the error.

ok, did you install as admin and run the game from a admin account?

Yeah, none of that is working. I just had to disable auto-protect and 'smart' firewall for a few minutes while I start the program. Customer service didn't do any good whatsoever.

I'm back up and running now, just a bit more of a pain. Curiously, I didn't start having this problem until I started using JSGME.
