We are ready to announce the first ever official Slitherine Tournament for Order of Battle!

We would like to replicate the success of other official tournaments for other games of our catalog, and bring the competitive scene of Order of Battle to a new level. Take part in it and become the first official champion for the game, and even win some nice prizes!

Starting from today people will be able to sign-up. All you have to do is send an e-mail to albertoc@slitherine.co.uk containing your Slitherine username and timezone.

The tournament will begin in three weeks, on February 12th. It will be a direct elimination tournament - further information will be divulged when we're closer to the start of the first round.

There will be some very fine scenarios used in this tournament.

Are these played via email turns or TCP? (if that is the correct terminology)

That will depend on individual players - they are more than welcome to do so, and we'll certainly share the videos if you do.

It would be great if we can upload videos of the later matches in particular (finals and semifinals).

How many people have signed up so far?

I think I have already joined but COUNT ME IN. This shud be a excellent tourny, especially with some new scenarios. This game has nowhere to go except UP over the coming months.

We are at 31 - considering that it's a direct elimination tournament it's a perfect number. I am of a mind to close recruitment as soon as we hit 32.

Change of rules: Whoever wins has to battle kondi for extra credit. Both in OoB and in real life.

Full disclosure - I also dont participate, too much on my plate in real life now. But I'd love to watch if there is possibility, even commentary would be great. Preferably youtube.
