Do you get a refund for repairing aux units?

It was told at another forum that you get refunded 50% of all RPs you invested into aux units. Is this really true? There's nothing in the manual, but that would not be the first time...

Do you mean
disbanding aux units? I think we worked out in
this thread that you get a refund of 20% of RP's for core units but you don't get the opportunity to disband aux units.
If you do mean
repairing aux units, I am not sure of your question. You are asking whether you get a refund for repairing them? Do you mean a
discount? Because the answer to that is no, I believe.

Yes, I did mean exactly this. For all RPs used in a scenario for repairing aux units, you'll get 50% back at the end of it. A guy at Steam said he has seen the Dev(s) replying more than once this being the case. I've never heard/read of such thing and all you Wise Sages concur. Having no suitable saves to try it out, I started a campaign and chose Winter War which probably has the fastest first battle which can be used.
The result: the guy is right, you do get a 50% refund.

Using the last turn auto save I first completed the scenario without repairs. In the second scenario I had 298 RPs. Then I repaired the aux units I could and used 15 RPs for those. Lo and behold: I had 290 RPs for the next battle. Just to verify the result I then used 15 RPs for core units only and ended up having 283 RPs for the next battle. You
still learn new hidden secrets in this game.

Good one! I have restarted several battles after regretting a string of poor choices + repairing aux units when I didn't need to. Now I'll have less of a reason to restart.

Couldn't believe it and tested it on a Blitzkrieg scenario myself. True. Sorry for the wrong answer then and thanks CoolDTA for clarifying.

Yes, exactly! I don't mind discovering some minor new features about the game now and then, but this is not that small of a factor in the sense of ressource management and tactics IMO. Either this is some kind of a "can't see the forest for the trees" situation for me ... but I can't remember this being in the manual or hearing about it in this forum.

Me neither and couldn't find anything to substantiate it from anywhere. Luckily testing it was not too difficult.

Great detective work, GabeKnight!

The feature is indeed not much advertised, which is rather odd considering how it can change the way the player uses RPs to repair aux units.

Hmm, didn't realise you got points back for Aux units. I have tended to use them as cannon fodder, particularly at the end of scenarios such as using them as scouts bunker busters etc.
Do you only get a refund for surviving Aux units? If so, even at 50%, it's a consideration as to whether it's worth keeping them alive or destroying them taking that last secondary objective or dangerous tank before it heals..
