Apologies if this a really dumb question ...

I would like to try a few small tweaks first. Read several of the threads here, and they indicate that the rtq.* files need to be recompiled?
Are the *.a files also included in the "need to be recompiled" ?
How do I ... ?
( found two DOS batch scripts / can't tell what they really do )
How do you tell which are the resulting files?
The EPIC tools help is not very informative when you try "-h" on it.
