Immortal Fire on Steam or Slitherine?

Hope this is ok to post here....
As I understand it; if I buy the game on the Slitherine web page vs Steam it is more beneficial to the developers? If I bought FOG II on Steam can I buy Immortal Fire DLC from Slitherine? Or do I need to buy it on Steam?

... and you can take part in Beta testing if you buy via Slitherine. I wish I had known that before I bought via steam.

Yes, that's exactly what I did.

No. But, you can buy on Slitherine, and still register it on Steam - the license key works as a steam key too.

Just bought IF DLC from Slitherine and activated on Steam.

That is what I did as well. I like giving Slitherine greater revenue, and the Slitherine version can be used for beta testing. The only downside with remaining with the Slitherine version is that upgrades are neither automatic nor as smooth as the Steam version.
