LF were facing forward towards the enemy table edge. HF were behind the and wheeled to the left about 45 degrees bring the right flank of the HF behind the center of the LF BG. The light foot evaded a charge from enemy HF and could not go around the friendly HF to their rear and did not have enough movement to get through the HF formation.(it would have been a shift of more then 1 base width) this seemed to creat a mess in the 2 BG's that looked like this:

-----------/
______________ LF
---------/
--------/
-------/
------/
-----/
----/
---HF

Does this couse the HF to be Disrupted? (we decided Yes it did)

But did we do this right in the first place?

When LF evade through troops that they can interpenetrate then the rules on P48 apply, look at the last section on the left hand column.

Bases of LF that reach the HF pass all the way through, bases that don't reach the HF stay on the near side. The interpenetrating BG is dissordered until it gets to reform.

By the sound of it in your game the HF were hard done by.
