Well you guys did do a good job with the Caucasus Scenario. It felt just right for a Blizkrieg attack. A massed attack down the center with probing forces on each wings (and some para action) did the trick with all victory conditions complete. No bugs in this one!

You used Paratroopers? Hm. That's a novelty, very good idea. Might try this myself - whenever I get around to this mission...

I love a bit of paratrooper action in OoB. They always cost me a fortune though as I keep getting them killed

Yeah, me too. You have to solidify them sooo much with close air support, fighters and quickly link them up to your supply network. There arent many maps that support that.
In Blitzkrieg, I used them as high-powered infantry after Norway. Havent reactivated them in Panzerkrieg. Yet.

Thing is, they'd generally complete their initial mission, but then they'd end up in the assault line with the rest of the troops, and with their lower Armour, the AI keeps focusing them down!!! Poor souls!

Well, it is kind of historically correct then - highly trained troops, high loss rate, low supplies. Crete etc. And the conclusion we draw - you use them as regular, high powered infantry when available - was also what the Wehrmacht did later on. So it kind of fits. But still needs specifically designed missions.
