Are there any way to avoid this lenghty workaround posted by Vpaulus or will this new autoupdate ruin the game again?

It´s working for me via Steam right now and I may finally get a bit of gametime tonight and would like spending it gaming instead of wasting more time with another workaround/fix.

steam isn't affected, after the 5.2.2 patch, all should be fine
