5.2.2

Since I couldn´t find anything here, I wanted to ask, if the new update 5.2.2. is available only for the steam version?
Also and I am sorry to say this - I think that this whole thing with uninstalling, reinstalling, repairing the registry is getting really unacceptable. I understand that the development team is small but still. It is not only quite frustrating that most of the limited time I had after purchasing the Panzerkrieg dlc I spent not on playing, but searching out different solutions. The main complaint I have is, that the developpers don´t inform in time and in an exact manner what is happening. To be sure, there are a few heroes here on the forums, that do a great job, but in my understanding they are not developers but merely enthusiasts.
I would expect at least one of the developpers to make an anouncement, when this whole mess will be sorted out with one patch (or at least a new stand alone version), that works and does make all the dlcs playable and that can be installed without and expected (!) crash of the computer.

5.2.2 is available for the regular Slitherine install as well. Mine now works fine with all official campaigns activated.

The recent problems was due partly to the new 64-bit engine and also the game-engine Unity being updated as well.
Together these issues took some time to fix for the devs.

Have you tried the VPaulus fix in the post a bit down on this page?
It gives you step-by-step instructions.

Thank you for the answers, I didn´t know, that there was an auto-update in the game. Well now it is updated and of course my computer crashed and of course now I can´t play the campaigns - so I guess i have to reinstall the whole thing. Thank you for your help.
To the developers: The fix VPaulus is giving is an insolence. It is completely unacceptable that after the whole mess in the last day, you now expect people to go through all this uninstalling, reinstalling. Once again, I would expect a message from the developpers, when we can expect a real working patch or stand alone version.

Funny you should say the solution steps from tech support is unacceptable :D
It is not easy to help you then...

Oh, I think it would be really easy to help me. As I already wrote, I would expect a patch or a stand alone version that is easy to install make all the dlcs playable. What I find unacceptable is the amount of time I have to spend first to find a solution and then to implement it - just to install a dlc. Don´t you think it is a little understandable, why I am getting a little frustrated? In my first post about this, a couple of days ago, I tried to take it with a sense of humour even though I had spend a couple of hours with installing and updating. But now that I finally get a little time instead of enjoying the game I have to deinstall and reinstall it all over again. So to summarize - I am frustrated and I think there is reason for it. And I think we should let the developers know, don´t you agree?

I think the devs are well aware of the problems the last few days.
But as far as I see it has now been solved.
And if the solution forces us to go through a number of steps to get the game working properly, that is what we need to do.
Then back to enjoying the game.

as far as i'm aware, there is no way to alter a 32bit program without a uninstall if you wish to update it to 64bit, so with what's mentioned above, the older 32bit version has been updated to 64bit, so both can now be used, if you wish to use the newer 64bit version, (and you own a 64bit O/S etc) as it won't work without it, it's a choice, which involves some uninstalling and reinstalling etc, if the patch worked from day one, most would have only been asked to do this once, but when it failed for some, a newer one was made, which atm has a 100% success rate bar one motobike not being displayed for only one user, so lets say 99.9% to be more correct.
The recent problems was due partly to the new 64-bit engine and also the game-engine Unity being updated as well.
Together these issues took some time to fix for the devs.
so sorry for your issues and continued support on this

@Erik Well, i guess this where we disagree then. I really do think, that this is not good enough to be called a solution, at best it is a workaround. And I think that the communication about this issues could be handled much better.

So I managed to install everything after all. Unfortunately my free afternoon is over too, and this is the second or third time in a row I wanted to play OOB and ended up donwloading and deinstalling and reinstalling after all.
My computer is not the fastest so it takes for me more time than for others maybe, but judging from a couple of quite harsh comments I don´t think I am the only one frustrated.
I would like to thank the people here on the forum helping out and giving advices. And I am sorry, that I really don´t know, if I will buy another dlc for an otherwise great game, till the developers find a way to improve the update process.

Yes, it does - at least I tested one campaign briefly. But I really could click only a couple of times on end turn, because, as I mentioned, my free time is over :( I am quite sure, that I will find time to enjoy the game at some time during the next week - so once again, thanks to everyone on the forum for the help.
And for the criticism - well just see my rants above.

Completely unacceptable for Slitherine to let this happen. It's like no one tested it.

After loading 5.2.2 I am unable to play the game after buying two add-ons.

reboot the pc and re try, if it still doesn't work,

Delete the Settings folder at "Documents/My Games/Order of Battle - WW2".

After deleting everything I am able to run 5.2.2 in raw form and even do the boot camp. But it will not recognize my two DLC purchases. Are the DLC's only for the 32 bit program?

Everything works with 64bit.
Try reinstalling the DLCs.
