Solo Campaigns?

I wonder how many people would be interested in some sort of simple solo campaign module, perhaps a tweak of that of P&S? I currently play solo using MOE for strategic moves, then play out tactical battles, and then edit the results back into MOE.

I even think you could offer more than one such module, and let people take their pick, and of course I would be willing to pay for this as an add on.

I have suggested before that that even a generic non-automatic strategic game or games could find a very large audience among both computer and miniature gamers, if you simply had the action stop pre-battle, gave all the info, and then asked the player to input the results they got. This could be a solo game, or a game with other players, and the strat game could be played solo or multi-player.

Dont you think people would pay for that?

March of the eagles, its Napy period, but works generally as a movement by foot, horse or ship strategy game. I like the map.

Ahh, the paradox real time game? I have thought of using say EU 3 ( or whatever version) for same purposes for P&S but not even sure one can easily edit save games. Also the many mini armies running about in a real time environment seems it is less than an optimal solution.

If time wasn't my enemy, I would have made my own solo rules by now and using say hexographer to draw a map and then import it into an freeware vector program like Inkscape and used vector object nato type counters to move about the map as "game pieces".

I definitely be up for something like this, if the rules are good...

I ginned up some tactical rules using Pike & Shot for the solo board game "Cruel Necessity". Are there any ancient solo board games (strategic or operational level) out there? FOG II would be perfect to play out the tactical battles.
