The Battle of the Teutoburg Forest in 9 AD, when an alliance of Germanic tribes ambushed and decisively destroyed three Roman legions, led by Publius Quinctilius Varus. The anti-Roman alliance was led by Arminius, a Germanic officer of Varus' auxilia who had acquired Roman citizenship and had received a Roman military education, thus enabling him to deceive the Roman commander methodically and anticipate the Roman army's tactical responses.

Hi rico,

It seems to me that (although they are Warriors and Medium Foot) the difficult slope will have more adverse effect on the Germans than the Romans if the Germans attack

It might be better if the slope was rough going. There is an overlay tile in the Editor that will convert the slope to Rough Going.

Cheers,

Richard

Hi Richard,
You're right Richard, but if I do that, the Romans have no chance. In fact the Germans must be careful in their charges, hit the weak points of the column first, take the advantage and then attack the strong units. The battle lasted several days, take your time!

Fair enough.
