Getting the Gaul C in C at the edge of the board rewarded by at least a draw for the Gauls is finetuning this scenario. How about that ? The map is eyecandy and the Roman Legions have different colours. Great job.

Hi Hendrikus, just seen this, never certain whether you're being ironic or not...

I've used the standard victory conditions, first one to inflict 60% casualties is the winner, not sure what you mean about Gallic c-in-c getting to the edge of the map? Or was that a suggestion?

And 'eye candy' is not usually considered a compliment, if indeed it's intended to be one. In this the extensive light fortifications are a crucial element of the scenario.

But thanks, I think.

I'm not a native English speaker. I like the scenario, it seems pretty balanced. I like the look of the map. Meant as compliment. The Gaul C in C is besieged for a long time. If he escapes, by reaching the edge of the map he can organise enduring resistance against Rome. So that would be a draw even if the Gauls lose the battle. Your welcome.

The scenario is fantastic. Good work. I have always wanted to play Alesia, and this seems a good representation.

I think the scale is different to normal, roughly 150 men per figure? I wonder if this changes the results of firing? My engines and archers seemed to be presented with the option of doing a lot more than normal damage, BUT, the actual results were disappointing. It seemed like something was not working properly? Not sure.

Engines use a skewed random number curve, so that most shots will be less than the average of the minimum and maximum of the quoted potential casualties range.

I see. Thanks for clarifying. (and all your attention to the forum)
