As the topic says. I’m looking into playing a few MP games but I’m unsure as this best wat to get into it. I’m basically looking for a game where I won’t have a certain part of my body handed to me on a plate but at the same time learn how to play the game better.

I'd suggest that you set up an open MP game with a couple of reasonably balanced lists and put in a comment that you'd like an 'educational' game

Or arrange a game on the forum and password protect it.

Are any of the epic battles particularly good for MP?

Yes, they are. Add to that the insight you collect about an epic battle of history. A list of current win loss ratio of each of the epic battles would make it better to see wich one is the most balanced.

Just play pot luck both armies medium sized open battle on a medium sized map with auto force selection. Dont need to think about it twice.
