When you create a custom game in MP. Once your opponent has joined and that it's the host turn (yours then), he gets to select his army. I got a crash at that point. When I restarted dthe game, an new map had been generated. So I closed the game to see wether a new map would be generated. it was the case. I tried some more times and it works. Clear exploit here. That's it.

Now the host can close its game many times in a row so that he gets a more favorable position. That should not be the case.

Cheers, JC

Helpful to bring this up and well done for spotting it though not something I am concerned about personally. I am playing a lot of MP match ups so if one or two people choose to cheat then so be it. It seems obvious to me 99 per cent of players have no interest it cheating and are just enjoying the heck out of the game. :D

The system keeps track of the number of times a player downloads a turn against the number of times he uploads a turn. Anyone doing this sort of thing will be detected, warned, and if the behaviour persists, banned.

We had this issue arise with FOG1 with a few players crashing the game mid-turn to get more favourable outcomes. Slitherine moved very quickly to deal with it and I think everyone was satisfied that an effective monitoring position was put in place. As an illustration of how good the monitoring is, I had a situation last week where my internet crashed while I was in a middle of a turn and I then tried unsuccessfully a few times to submit the turn. Immediately I got a message saying my repeated attempts to do so had been noted. So the system does work very well and I felt obliged to report what had happened on the technical support forum.

Hopefully I won't get banned. I spent some time testing this ! :D
