Flickery black horizontal strobe effect at loading screen

This has happened a few times, I think during the loading screen while returning to Menu Screen from Custom Battle. The screen will hang and there'll be a sort of flickery horizontal black strobe effect, more in the bottom half of the screen. I've progressed by pressing a key or clicking the mouse, or some such manoeuvre.

Are you running in debug mode? Could it be a missing string popup from the custom campaigns? If it is repeatable then try running in a window and see if anything shows up.

I'm not aware of the debug mode. I've managed to recreate it by doing this:
1) Go to Custom Battles.
2) Create a battle. Game loads to battleground.
3) Click the scroll and then choose Go Back option. Issue happens on mosaic loading screen and is reproduceable every time for me.

Is the flickering on the Custom Battle screen you return to? I cannot repeat this, but it could be that the issue was fixed by some of the fixes that have gone in since launch.

Normally, it happens at the mosaic screen and returns to normal when back at the battle setup screen, although yesterday it continued on the battle setup screen. The visuals also become distorted, in addition to the strobe-like effect.

Does it happen in Windowed mode?

It was set to Windowed mode - I don't remember touching this setting. The issue doesn't happen when changed to Fullscreen mode.
There's no visible difference between Windowed and Fullscreen mode, though. I thought Windowed mode would put the game in a size-adjustable window, but it's fullscreen.
